Throttle valve
The high-pressure throttle valve adjusts the flow rate and pressure by changing the passage area in high-pressure pipelines. There are fixed and adjustable types. Adjustable throttle valves come in needle, plunger, and orifice plate types. Adjustable one-way throttle valves are available in manual and hydraulic types.
Our company’s high-pressure throttling valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with API 6A and API 16C standards. The adjustable one-way throttling valve regulates flow and pressure by altering the cross-sectional area of the fluid passage. This adjustment is achieved through:
- The conical surface on the needle-shaped valve stem,
- The up-and-down movement of the plunger,
- The rotation of the orifice plate, or
- The change in the specification of the fixed nozzle in the fixed throttling valve.

1. Flow rate can be directly read from the scale.
2. Hard alloys are embedded in the nozzle and valve rod, with the plunger and orifice plate made from special tungsten carbide, extending valve life.
3. The top of the valve seat and rod is made from tungsten carbide for superior resistance.
4. The cylindrical top of the valve rod provides good fluid flow performance with low vibration and noise.
5. The valve body and outlet flange are in two parts for easy replacement.
6. The flow rate indicated by the valve scale and end connection forms (butt-welded or flanged) match international standards.
7. Nozzle sizes are in imperial dimensions, fully compatible with international standards.
